Thanks to a four-game sweep, the 1966 Baltimore Orioles were World Series Champions for the first time in franchise history. Their opponents, the Dodgers, scored only two runs in the entire Series, and both of those came in the first three innings of Game One in Los Angeles. That meant the Orioles pitchers pulled off the incredible feat of shutting out the Dodgers for the last 33 innings of the World Series!
This talent-packed championship team was honored at a specially produced Reunion Show in Pikesville, Maryland the weekend of January 9th and 10th, 1993. Fans got the chance to meet their heroes, relive some great memories, and collect autographs from the ’66 Orioles team. This 19” by 23” full color glossy poster on thick stock is from that show, and has autographs of 16 players, starting off with Frank Robinson (who was the World Series MVP), Brooks Robinson, Jim Palmer, Boog Powell, Paul Blair, Russ Snyder, Andy Etchebarren, Davey Johnson, Luis Aparicio, Steve Barber, John Miller, Moe Drabowski, Waller Bunker, Dick Hall, Gene Brabender, and Stu Wilson.
If anyone would like to trade for this or make a money offer, please do so by email. I bought the piece a while back but it doesn’t fix in with my collection at all. Would love to sell to a O’s fan. Thanks for reading, Wicked out!!
