Well since the homie over at Jaybarkerfan’s Junk posed the question of who is the “Blog of the Year” i taught i would try to break it down a little with some words that some of you might not like. But i’m not here to offend anyone just speaking my mind and who i really like the title “blog of the year” should go too. I saw on his comment a lot of names that really shouldn’t be on their standing next to some pretty big hitters around these parts. But i must also say that a title fitting for a “Rookie of the Year” blog would fit some of y’all nicely. If you stop and think about it, the big names out there are getting smaller and smaller as the years go by. Take WaxHeaven, when i started to blog back in 2009 that was the title holder. Mario was king around these parts, but funny thing is a lot of those names on that comment page don’t know the legacy that Mario left in this blogging world. When i think of “Blog of the Year” it’s got to be an icon in the cardboard blogging world, names like: Bad Wax, Cardboard Junkie, Heartbreaking Cards of Staggering Genius, Play at the Plate, Sports Card Info, The Collective Troll, The Wax Morgue, Voice of the Collector: The Anti-Beckett, White Sox Cards, Dinged Corners, Waxaholic…..These blogs not only are great reads, they also give us in site and make us understand collecting. These guys are what blogging about baseball cards are all about. The passion they show and write with will sometimes leave you breathless. I know for myself that if it wasn’t for these blogs i wouldn’t understand collecting all that much.

It’s real easy to nominate a friend or fellow trade partner, but please don’t ever forget about the blogs that help start this great community and the ones that keep helping us reach out to more people and collectors out there everyday. I know some of you out there won’t like what i have to say, but sometimes the truth hurts. And remember this is me writing down what I think. As i go on my 3rd year blogging about sport cards I’ve seen about of blogs come and go. But a lot of them left an imprint in this great community and I’m really thankful for that. And already a lot of you out there have, and will continue to do so. As for me, i’m just greatful to be able to read all the great blogs out there and the to keep trading with all of you.

Oh by the way, i know this question is going to get asked, so here my answer….. Do i think i have a great blog?? The answer to that is simple,no. Why you ask? Because theres a lot of better blogs out there to read with info about cards. But if you ask me who’s got the best trade bait, ssshit you know the Don is on top of that game!!
