As y’all know by now, The Troll aka Marck and myself are good friends. That’s why we always look out for one another when we go shopping for cards…… A few weeks ago i got a package from Marck and it had a bunch of cards i needed to complete the 1968 Topps set. Marck sent some cards that i know a lot of people wouldn’t have sent and the fact that he’s like that makes me proud to call him my friend! I really am glad that I’ve made some great friendships on this blog and hopefully i will make more in the years to come. Marck thanks again for your utmost thoughtfulness. Your Aces kid!
By the way I’ve added a link to the cards i need to complete this set on top of my headliner…. Thanks for looking, Wicked out!!
If ever we make a blog together thats for sure the name!! Anyways the other day i got a great package from the one and only Troll…. In it, a whole mess of Jose Canseco’s from his days in Tampa Bay plus a sweet 1964 giant Tony Oliva and a cool ass sticker. The Troll is the man around the blogging world right now, hotter than any other blog i know. He’s become a super star Troll but he doesn’t forget where he came from. Mad love homie!!Wicked out!!!
Troll sent this cool ass autographed baseball to me the other day….. It’s signed by Bert Campaneris aka Campy, Troll wrote in the letter that he sent me that he had played in a charity game about 10 years ago. The ball at hand was used by the Troll and Campy to warm up with. They played along each other for 3 innings. If you don’t know who Bert Campaneris here a run down……6 x All-Star, 3 x WS Champ…. And one bad-ass Cuban!! This makes the 2nd Campy ball i have in my collection but i will hang on tightly to this one more for the simple fact that it was used by a great friend in the Troll and a great player in Campy….Thanks homie!! Wicked Out!!!
From Woodstock and a man on the moon to the Manson murders and the Stonewall riots, the summer of 1969 was a tumultuous and eventful time. Nearly 400,000 people show up at a farm in Bethel, New York, for a music festival that features legendary acts Jimi Hendrix, the Who, the Grateful Dead, Janis Joplin and Sly and the Family Stone. The event would help define an era. Boxing champion Muhammad Ali is convicted of evading the draft after he refused to be inducted into the U.S. Army. Two years earlier, Ali applied for an exemption as a conscientious objector but was denied. He was stripped of his fighting license and title. He returned to the ring in 1970, and his conviction was overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1971. Apollo 11, carrying three U.S. astronauts, lands on the moon. Mission commander Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon; crewmate Buzz Aldrin also walked on the moon. The third man on the mission was Michael Collins. Six lunar landings followed. A confrontation between gay rights activists and police outside the Stonewall Inn — a gay bar in Greenwich Village, New York City — escalates into a riot. Over the next four decades, the riots act as a symbolic force for the burgeoning gay rights movement.

Ok well the Troll sent these back to me after i had sent them to him. Funny thing was i atught he was going to start a Zimmerman player collection but i guess i beat him to the punch.
